Privacy Policy

THEVA is a Traditional Thai Wellness Studio in Port Credit, Mississauga. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It follows Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Your name, contact details and billing information
Health intake information necessary to work with you safely
Blood pressure readings taken before a session, and practitioner session notes
Your booking and visit history, and any preferences you tell us

We collect only what we need. You are never required to give us information that is not necessary for your booking or your safety.

To work with you safely and appropriately
To confirm your appointment and send reminders
To process payment
For our own internal quality review

We ask for your consent when you book and again at your first visit. You may withdraw consent at any time, though some information must be kept for the period Ontario law requires.

How we protect it

Digital records are held in a secure, encrypted booking system
Paper records are kept in locked cabinets
Access is limited to the people who need it to do their work
Records are retained only for as long as the law requires, then securely destroyed

What we never do. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not disclose it to anyone except as required by law, or with your explicit consent.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to run the studio — a booking and payment system, and messaging services for appointment reminders. They may process your information on our behalf, only for that purpose, and under contract. Some may store data outside Canada, where that country’s laws may apply.

Health information

Health intake details and session notes are treated as sensitive. They are used only to work with you safely, are seen only by your practitioner and the owner, and are never used for marketing.

Your rights

Access — ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate
Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention
Withdraw consent — including opting out of reminders and marketing at any time
Complain — to us first, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied

We respond to requests within 30 days.

Calls, texts and our assistant

Calls, text messages and website chat with THEVA may be answered by our AI assistant. It answers questions about our services, prices and policies, and passes anything else to a member of our team. Calls may be recorded so we can look after you properly. The assistant never asks for card numbers and never gives health advice.

If you give us your mobile number when you book or contact us, you agree to receive text messages from THEVA about your booking and your visit. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop text messages, or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.

Messages and email

Appointment confirmations and reminders are service messages tied to your booking. Any marketing message we send will always include a way to unsubscribe, as Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) requires. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop appointment reminders.

Cookies

This website uses only what it needs to function. If we later add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and say so here before doing so.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
